Homeopathy in Acute Disease
Hahnemann states in the aphorism 72 of the Organon of the Medicine:
“Acute diseases are rapid illness-processes of the abnormally mistuned life principle which are suited to complete their course more or less quickly, but always in a moderate time”.
- An acute condition is one that appears suddenly and can have a very variable intensity.
- It can affect one or several individuals, as in the case of epidemics.
- They usually last a limited period.
- They evolve in two ways:
- Towards healing, through the natural healing process, and/or correct treatment.
- Or it can end with the death of the individual if they are very serious.
- Injuries:
- Physical (Trauma, wounds, bit, stings, etc.)
- Emotional (scare, fight, loss, excitement, etc.)
- Ordeals of stress or suffering.
- Poisoning, toxins, including environmental.
- Parasites (beginning, invasive stage).
- Nutritional deficiencies
- Acute infectious illness (Parvovirus, Distemper, Leptospira, Feline Panleukopenia, etc.)
- Intense (acute) flare-ups of chronic disease
The treatment of acute diseases with homeopathy yields positive and rapid results.
After obtaining the patient’s medical history, conducting a physical examination, and performing necessary tests, a diagnosis is established, and the totality of symptoms is considered to choose the medication most similar to the case.
Depending on the understanding and intensity of the symptoms, the administration of the homeopathic remedy is recommended in a single dose or more frequently: every 5 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 6 hours, or once a day, all with the goal of achieving prompt, smooth, and lasting healing.
